Sanjali is a 5th-Year PhD student in the Department of Epidemiology and researches the health effects of air pollution. This is her 4th year on the Student Fee Advisory Committee (SFAC) and 1st year as Chair of the committee. She joined SFAC to better understand how student fees are used on campus to support essential student services to serve a diverse student body. She was interested in gaining insight into the behind-the-scenes working of various administrative structures at UCLA and to advocate for the needs of graduate and international students as well as other minority student populations. In this role she has most enjoyed increasing awareness of SFAC’s role and impact on student wellbeing, including expanding its online presence and building partnerships across campus as well as with SFAC members in other UC campuses. Outside of work, she loves to read popular science books and sew!
